Over 300,000 people watched Joe Calzaghe/Kessler on Setanta ALONE

Just caught an interview on youtube about it, bare in mind that you have to pay money each month to be a member of Setanta, so I guess that's considered PPV.

I wonder how many viewers state side watched this fight on HBO?

What I find amusing is: Calzaghe/Kessler, two undefeated champs, one with 2 belts, in a unification bout, not PPV
Vargas/Mayorga, two defeated has beens, neither with a belt, PPV.

The reason is because Vargas and Mayorga are both legitimate draws, probably because of the fact they have gained huge fan bases by fighting the best fighters out there, living legends.... Calzaghe/Kessler, well not so much

It is pretty ridiculous, and wasn't the fight everyone thought it would be.. but they both fight stateside so it's understandable from a tv-station's point of view, but I have and always will disagree with PPV boxing, and even though it was on PPV, I bet Kessler-Calzaghe consumed more interest in the states alone than what Vargas-Mayorga had.

Many people, like myself, had to actually buy a special freeview box in order to get the fight on Setanta. I paid £60 for this fight in total. When I rang Setanta to get it all activated, it took ****ing AGES to get through to them because so many other people had done the same.

Oh come on. 2 undefeated champions fighting each other. As if that didn't get you pumped up.
