Alexander Povetkin: "I'm Just One Step Away"

Alexander Povetkin and Eddie Chambers will battle out their highly-anticipated IBF eliminator in Berlin on January 26, Sauerland Event confirmed today. After advancing past the first round of the four-way box-off, the two heavyweight hopefuls now clash for the right to challenge IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko. And even though he has just 14 professional fights to his name, Povetkin (14-0, 11 KOs) feels he is ready to become the next mandatory challenger. "I am just one step away from a world title fight - and I am determined to take this step against Chambers," the 2004 Olympic gold medal winner said. "Everything is possible in such an eliminator, especially in the heavyweight division. He is a strong opponent but I take him very seriously." [details]

Povetkin by late rounds TKO. If anybody wants to bet, feel free.

chambers is too soft and lazy. I think pov should take this on points or late stoppage

I've only seen youtube clips of Povetkin and I've seen 3 or 4 of Chamber's fights. In the first fight he looked like a more powerful Chris Byrd. Now he looks like a lazy Chris Byrd. Povetkin tko'd Byrd so I'll go with a tko for him over Chambers...

that was an old byrd. i think if chambers throws more punches he will beat povetkin but if he doesn't povetkin will win by late ko or ud.
