Malignaggi wants to make himself money by fighting Ricky Hatton but he's scared to do it anywhere but his own backyard.

Malignaggi didn't have a belt when Hatton fought Urango or Maussa. Malignaggi and Witter may be slick boxers but neither are as big as Collazo and neither are southpaws which is why Hatton would beat both of them.

Same could be said about Cotto.

Why was Cotto fighting Torres, Branco, Abdulaev, when he could have been fighting Hatton? Do you know who was the 140 lb Ring champion? It was Hatton, not Cotto.

Why did Cotto fight Abdulaev and Torres when he could have fought Hatton? I mean I understand Cotto beat Torres and Malignaggi but why not fight the 140 lb champion instead of Contenders?

You see what im getting at......?

Easy way to pick up another belt. It's just an easy fight to make as a first defense.

collazo was fighting in the inside alot with hatton because he felt like he was the bigger man paulie definitely will not do that he will you use his range and jab to dominate hatton similar to the rounds when collazo was using his jab and reach and witter is a switch hitter he does fight southpaw sometimes.the fact that you have problems with lefty's shouldn't be an excuse

I have seen enough of Hatton's fights at light-welterweight to be confident that he would bully Malignaggi and Witter.

Maybe Hatton's problems with southpaws shouldn't be an excuse but his trainer feels it is something he has problems with so it is clearly a problem on some level. Having said that, with better preparation I'm sure Hatton would do better against a southpaw.
