That is a ****ing great one.

Ok yeah fair enough, my only problem is when the fight not happening is blamed on Calzaghe ducking Hopkins, as is often stated on this board. If there was a pay dispute, then fine, I don't call Hopkins chicken for backing out anyway because I know he's not. But Joe would have taken the fight if Bernard had agreed to the terms. He hasn't stopped talking about Hopkins aslong as I can remember.
I think Joe's love affair with Bernard is now only rivaled by Bernard's own love affair with Joe, I'm not sure if they should box or get married. I'm positive Joe would've taken the fight back then but from Hopkins' standpoint it made no sense at that particular time. Now there's no reason for it not to happen aside from ego, and we all know Bernard has a big one. Not too sure about Joe's but I know it can't be as bad as Hops.

Who was the star back then? Who deserved the bigger cut of the pay? The guy with the wellknown name and big standouts on his record? Or the guy who hadn't even had a breakout performance yet and most people didn't know how to pronounce his name?

Hopkins priced himself out against Jones, he asked for what he deserved against Calzaghe.
    Thanks

**New "Non Stop Boxing" rules to remember**

The more I browse this forum the more I come across hypocrisy and lies from fans, that's not to say there aren't intelligent individuals here as well. But the dumbed down majority seem to have been hard at work making up a bunch of revisionist historian set of "rules" or "absolutes".

So this is the thread to post what you've seen here pass off as fact, or simply dumb opinion.

    I'll start **** off.....

1.) Bernard Hopkins lives his life in fear of Joe Calzaghe............
Working...
