"From Pillar to Post" - Mosley-Cotto: A Real Fight

By Ryan ******** - Youth versus Experience. Past versus Present. A Native son of the Puerto Rican boxing tradition versus a California-raised product of the American amateur system. In summary, a true prizefighter versus a true prizefighter. [details]

I agree, Cotto's chin is paramount.

He's going to get hit with a ton of heavy shots.

He better hope that head holds up..

      Cotto is going Down!!!

I like Miguel but I think Shanes combination of speed, power and proven chin will be too much for him. He gets hurt every fight and Shane is really up for this fight... Sugar TKO in 6!!

That's very nice to say of you. I wanted to get something out about this fight because it's one of the few that I'd be able to catch with my work schedule. I appreciate Cotto's ability and serious professionalism, but Shane is a wunderkind, even at 36.

It's not unlike Fernando Vargas versus Felix Trinidad, where Vargas was the hot, young sharpshooter against a proven legend a little past his best. The experience of going deep against the top opposition means the world in superfights.
