Do you still believe that RJJ is a potent force at the top level?

This is the poll I meant to make, but got sidetracked with the Ruiz one.

For some reason I've read RJJ's name about a hundred times today in threads about bouts that he didn't even feature in.

What I'm gathering is that a lot of people still think he's the man he was, or that he can compete at top level. I thought it was only people like Don OmEGGa and Iron Hick that thought this.

My assertion is that the guy is shot to pieces, will continue to look good against lower tier opposition and most likely get KTFO is he faces a top 5-10 fighter of any division he finds himself in. I've seen his name been put up as a potential Joe Blow opponent, but the RJJ of 2008 would be easy pickings for The Blow IMO. A rematch with Glen Johnson? The Monson will ****** him. Again. Y'all Must've Forgot.

    You get the idea.

Those RJJ threads are defense mechanisms for all the posters who felt like they got ****d last night.

"Yeah... well... Calzaghe would get PWNED by a prime Jones! Amirite?"

And yeah- they may be right. But that's not the real objective. The real objective is to try and turn your attention away from a terrific, REAL LIFE win and instead make you think about a hypothetical loss on Calzaghe's resume which will in fact NEVER happen.

This is how I feel about Jones, I think he still can outbox many boxers who does not hit hard, I give him a good a chance against Calzaghe but Pavlik will kill Jones now.

It used to annoy me- this same routine after every big fight.

Pacquiao beats Morales.. Mayweather beats Delahoya: And we see the same ****. Irrelevant threads about gross income and gate sales and fantasy match-ups. ALL made to discredit the winner.

Yeah, it used to annoy me- now it's kind of pathetic. Which makes it amusing.

                Of course he's a force...

which is why he has fought Prince AliBaba and Anthony Hanshaw. And on Showtime......

At 175 he is still a force. IDK about less than that.
