  • Calzaghe one of the greatest of all time?

Realistically we need to start considering Calzaghe as one of the greatest. He has repeatedly smashed high ranked contenders for years. He is my number one pound for pound regardless of what Floyd does to Hatton. I think he is right up there.

And Hopkins should run away from him.

This always happens after a good win. People said Pavlik was p4p number 1 after beating Taylor so I guess I will take this with a grain of salt.

No mate, Pavlik has done it for a year. Calzaghe has done this for 10 years now. I think we need to recognize him in this category.

Calzaghe is much more accomplished than Pavlik surely you can see that?

I already had him in my top 5 p4p and now he is definitely in the top 3. Number 1...................that's where I have to think twice.

            greatest SMWs or MWs: yes.

            one of the GOATs: no.

for joe, theres nothing he can accomplish now that will give him the honor of being put next to names like ali, louis, robinson, etc. for joe, its too little, too late for that.

Roy and Calzaghe would've been a great fight.

Being the #1 super middleweight of the last 10 years is like being the worlds tallest midget. He hasn't done nearly enough to even be considered as an ATG. HoF'er sure... ATG no.

He's an all-time great at 168, to cement his legacy i think he should move to 175 to take on Hopkins and Dawson.

What I am getting at is people tend to say outlandish things after a very good win by a great fighter. We are usually on an emotional high after watching such great bouts but we have to calm down and think about things rationally before we start spouting things like ATG (in Calzaghe's case) and p4p top 5 (in Pavlik's case).
