It was the day after the Hatton/Castillo fight. Hatton said Castillo said it on his home country's channel.
Anyways, Hatton broke 2 of his sparring partners ribs so he's definitely got the power.
But he was constantly hoking at Castillos ribs. I'm not surprised they snapped.Comment

Well, you have to admit that Hatton isn't exactly the leanest or most sober guy between fights.
But, no. The comments from the Hatton groupies are generally mean-spirited and often racist.Comment

Sooooo, lemme get this straight:It was the day after the Hatton/Castillo fight. Hatton said Castillo said it on his home country's channel.
Anyways, Hatton broke 2 of his sparring partners ribs so he's definitely got the power.
But he was constantly hoking at Castillos ribs. I'm not surprised they snapped.
Hatton was watching Mexican television the day after the fight? And the Dominican guy who actually speaks spanish and watches both Univision and Telemundo never saw it? The Dominican guy who watched the coverage on Republica Deportiva never saw it...but hatton (who, to my knowledge, does not speak spanish) was able to see it and translate it from his hotel room in Vegas?
Is that your stance>Comment

Interesting.I was talking to my buddy last night on Halloween, and his friend from England was here for the semester, but I had never met him. I told him he looked a bit like Ricky Hatton (in-between fights, that is), and he was shocked I even knew who he was. We got into a conversation about the fight on December 8th, and I believe his reply was that he really wanted Ricky to "knock out that yank ****".
I laughed, and we had a nice chat, he told me how he met Ricky once, he bought him a drink and that he truly was the nicest guy in the world, which I was basically already aware of. However, as much as he told me he liked Ricky, he admitted, and this is a direct quote: "I mean he's the best, he's such a good guy, but he's got basically no chance."
Interesting tidbit, even people Ricky's met who he's bought drinks for think he's gunna get
However, if Hatton "has no chance" why is it only 2/1 in favor of Floyd?
We all remember the odds favored Mike Tyson at 45/1 against Douglas.
Why aren't the ****ing odds better?
Damnit!..

Here's a source for you, the "Boxing Encyclopedia" and it says this fight was known to have broken 4 of Castillo's ribs:So listen... no one else on this board has been able to cite a source (other than Ricky Hatton) that Hatton broke 4 of Castillo's ribs. Maybe you can be a good chap and provide us one, because considering I looked and didn't find it, and none of the groupies have been able to come up with one, I just don't believe it.

You do know that the boxrec encyclopedia is able to be edited by anyone who has an account with boxrec.
Was there a source that it cited?
Keep in mind that the boxrec encyclopedia calls Whitaker-Ramirez a robbery, which doesn't seem to be very factual. Encyclopedias are supposed to be factual.Comment
