Juan Diaz is a Pillow Puncher, but he gets the job done

You know what some people fail to realize when they're sitting on their couches, a beer in one hand and sandwich in another watching boxing? That the guys in the ring are getting hard, sharp punches in their face. That another man's fist is connecting and leaving stinging pain, swelling, cuts and jarring their senses; sure, we all can see that two men are fighting but often we forget what that means. Juan Diaz is not a power puncher; but boxing is the game so he still punches. Guys have to be willing to sit in there and absorb more pain than they may have to with a much stronger puncher due to the sheer volume of shots Diaz makes them eat. Both Freitas and Julio were unable to handle the throbbing, bleeding nose, swollen lips and burning pain those pillow fists caused them.
Imagine eating over 700 punches in a single night. Tap. Tap, Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Power knocks guys out but please try to remember that even the most lacking puncher is still just that; a puncher. It takes quite a bit of will to keep up with Juan's pressure style. At the very least he throws guys off their game. All night they see red bashing into them and, believe me, it doesn't feel good.
Juan Diaz may be a "pillow puncher" but facing him is no pillow fight. You have to be able to deal with the punishment.Comment
