i think your right Orange Sneakers i cant see Benn or Eubank saying that ,i have read Eubank's autobiography and if i remember right im sure he said that he was in shape for the Calzaghe fight and that he had no excuses ,Eubank's is like that if he thought Watson beat him first time around he would have said that but even to this day he still thinks he won the first fight and i agree he had a few excuses about the 1 Collins defeat but he admitted he was beaten fair and square in the Rematch ,but i cant see Eubank saying this fighter or that fighter was better than him

Let us get one thing straight about JC v Eubank and Eubank not being as his best and taking the fight at short notice. JC was untested and he had never gone past a certain amount of rounds. Eubank didnt fight JC at his best as well. The thing is Eubank said JC did hit hard as well. JC has been talked about as the greatest ever super middle. Whether he is or not isnt the issue. It is that he is actually even talked about as a candidate, which Eubank and Benn arent. So that their assesment that JC would have beaten them even in their primes cant be far off the mark

And for JCs critics who say he wouldnt have beaten Eubanks and Benn in their primes. Isnt it just the same people who like to underestimate JC. I bet these were the same people who said Lacy would beat JC as well. JC has showed that you shouldnt underestimate him.

i had the watson eubank fight a draw, obviously watson was way ahead in the 2nd fight. joe would have been competitive against benn eubank and watson they would all have been close tough fights and I wouldn’t pick a clear favourite. i think joe would def beat Collins I was never to high on him.

I don't think I have ever seen a Calzaghe interview where he doesn't mention Lacy. YOu can't blame thim though that was his greatest victory. We will see who has a better chin and punches harder come the third, just wait and see.

Well i suppose he has too mention Lacy as Lacy was supposed to beat him. But didnt. Lacy was great after his performance over Robin Reid, who JC struggled agaisnt.

I thought Eubank won the 1st Watson fight Michael gave away the first half of the fight but the way the press went up in arms was pathetic like Michael was the victim of some kind of Lewis V Holyfeild style robbery just because they hated Eubank so much and Michael was so popular ,that should not have detracted away from the fact that Watson did not do enough to take the Title away from the Champion

Calzage would havee beaten Eubank the blue print to beat Eubank was keep the pressure on him make him fight every minute of every round ,Eubank could only fight at his own pace and his attacking Boxing was very poor

on the other hand Benn had a style that may have Troubled Calzaghe a bit that low weaving style that gave the tall McClellan a lot of problems defensively im not talking about Geralds injurys sustained in the fight, im just saying he was gettting hit frequently because he could'nt get to grips with Benns low style ,i think Joe may have had the same problems being so tall but in any case he would have still beaten him as the would G-Man without the injury he sustained

but Collins v Cazaghe hard to pick a winner IMO ,Collins had more ability than people like to give him credit for he was really good counter puncher and durable as anything ,he had Mike McCallum on the run towards the end of their fight put it that way ,and McCallum was a top top fighter

is still pick Joe because i dont see any weakness in his game and he has more skill than Collins

yeah watson gave away to many rounds at the start i had it a draw which still meant eubank kept the title. i think joe would have done what watson did to eubank in there second fight work on the inside and keep constant pressure on him. watson vs joe would be a hell of a fight.
