MIKKEL KESSER: "I want to remembered as the best ever"

Was his quote (or something very similar, i cant remember the exact wording) from his interview with HBO's Bert Sugar.

If He Beats Calzaghe he should be 5th on the p4p list imo

he said BOTH actually. right afterward he said he wanted to be #1 p4p.

the second 1, #1 p4p, isnt impossbile. I mean, maybe he dominates Calzaghe and goes on to beat Taylor-Pavlik winner. Its not impossible... unlikely and very diffult? hell yes

But best Ever is pretttttttttttttttttty rediuclous

The road to be the best ever in this day and age is as close to impossible as breaking the 56 game hitting streak record. Not to put him into the thread but take FMJ for example, the kid could wipe out the entire welterweight division and still wouldn't have even a shot at being the best ever, and that's coming from a fan.

                  A man can dream.

But honestly we can't blame him. He's an undefeated champ, about to take on another undefeated champ, with more to fight after if he wins (which I doubt). You can't fault his ambitions, he's gonna bring us some good fights

cant see anything wrong with him being ambitious.

since becoming a champ, he has fought( incl the calzaghe fight) 4 out of the 6 best, since he himself cant be included, that would be 4 out 5 of the top 6 in the div. that in itself should state, what kind of person he is, he wants to fight the best, and be the best.

whether or not its realistically is another thing. being the best ever is impossible, but not just for mikkel, but for everyone. being p4p nr 1, is perhaps a longshot, but beating joe, perhaps taking on the taylor-pavlik winner or even moving up, and facing popkins, he sure could be in contention, for a top 5 p4p, perhaps even top 3. but first let him beat the the quite feminine welshman
