Quartey is one of my favorite fighters and believe he would still give anyone a hard time at 147 but don't know if he could be the best.

the only reason i think he can is becuase he has a style that lasts the longest not too many fighters fought like him.. hes more like liston then anybody else.. and nobody new listons real age.. its believed he was already in his 40s when he fought ali..

Quartey was also one of my favorites, but i dont think there was ever a time when he could be Mayweather style wise, although that would be an awsome fight.

One fight Im VERY VERY interested in, and theres a good chance it gets made for HBO BAD or SHOWTIME, is QUARTEY-CLOTTEY.

BOTH guys complement eachother so well. I think thats a really great fight and a winnable one for both guys

Oba Carr beat him IMO, don't know how dehydrating himself to make 47 will keep him from fading in the late rounds in fights. He's a good fighter, but I don't think he can beat any of the champs there.

I agree, that should be Clottey's next opponent. That would add a name to his list and get him a tad bit more exposure, a fight I would be more than excited to watch.

Quartey would be a good fight for Tito at 154-160...I doubt that Ike can still make 147.

Ike's old, and small. I can't see why he would want to move back down to Welterweight and **** it out with some of the guys down there, who, honestly, look like they could be Middleweights. If Ike thinks he's going to make an impact on that division he's crazy.

And like I said months ago when this news first broke, somebody put Ike's ass on the back of a milk carton because if he's looking to **** it out with some of today's top Welterweights, he's coming up missing.

Well, I'll have to disagree with you b/c Ike had no problem ****ing it out with both Wright and Forrest at 160. I have no doubt in my mind that Ike at 147 can **** it out with the big welterweights of today. I don't think he'll win many of them but he'll come close due to his toughness. He's a good presure fighter, however, he's never busy enought. That's why he gets jacked in close fights.
