  • McBride: "I'm Knocking Andrew Golota Out"

McBride: “I’m coming here (NYC) to win. I’m a big heavyweight and I proved myself against (Mike) Tyson. A lot of people said Kevin McBride wouldn’t beat him and I did. Talk is cheap and I have to do it October 6. You’re supposed to be as good as your last fight, but I’ve changed my whole team, totally. Before the Tyson fight I benched 260-pounds; now I can do 460, and I feel strong. But I have to prove it in the ring October 6, on my own. I have a great team behind me now.

Wow, he beat a Tyson who was on medication to control his anger. Theres no doubt in my mind that Tyson was on some kind of medication when he took fights against williams and mcbride. Mcbride is a bum, he didn't even look good in that fight, tyson didn't even look like he was trying to hurt Mcrbride. I wonder what drugs they gave to tyson to calm him down so much. And didn't Mcbride just get ko'd by a small guy in his last fight?

uh, no he's not. When Golota hasn't beaten himself in his own mind he is/was a world-class fighter. McBride is a world-class joke. Mike Mollo rocked his world nasty last time out, what does he think Golota will do.

Heh, your picture makes the signature line that divides the post from your signature hard to see. I thought the open your mouth and remove all doubt that you are a fool was part of this thread's post. It definately makes sense in the case of Kevin McBride.

At least he is willing to talk the talk in the HW division. Maybe he has the walk now, he obviously feels like the Tyson fight led to him massively improving his game (through the win acting as a diving/jumping board).

At least we'll get one thing from this fight.. one less fringe-contender..

This is Golota's veeeerrrry laaaast chance to grab onto that rope and pull himself back up into the big money fight bracket. It's there, and he has the strength, but does he even care about boxing anymore? If he loses to McBride, I don't think there's anything, barring divine intervention, that can save his career.

For a long Golota was my favorite boxer. I seen a few of his fights before he fought Bowe. He's got tons of boxing ability, hes big, fast hands, and slegehammers in both hands if he throws them. Watching the bowe fight I know bowe underestimated him but he took bowe to school. The guys got mental problems though. After the Lewis fight I gave up on him. If he could get his might straight I dont see him having any problem beating all the heavyweights out there. I dont really think he has the mental fortitude to do it but I know hes going to flatten McBride.

That dumb Irish prick keeps on priding himself over a win against a Tyson who had no more desire to win.
