  • Reid: "I Want To Demolish Carl Froch's Record"

Former WBC super middleweight champion Robin Reid (39-5, 27KOs) is getting his last chance at glory when he takes on undefeated Carl "The Cobra" Froch (21-0, 17KOs) at the Ice Arena in Nottingham on November 2. [details]

I give Robin an excelent chance at upsetting Froch.

He has been more active over the last year, well, more rounds, Froch is still hobbling around from his knee operation and has never faced anyone with Robins experience and at 30 he has left it a bit late to try and test himself.

I dont Think Reid has enough left in the Tank.. Yes Froch is 30.. But in Ring terms its a YOUNG 30... he has never been hurt...

Reid will surely be Froch's toughest fight to date.. But Frich's Power and Counter Punching will be the difference.. I say Froch BY KO/TKO by the 8-9th round

I dont think Froch has the power he likes to think he has, Robin knocked Brian Magee down 4 times 2 years before Froch got the leftovers, Brian was undefeated and in his backyard. Ok Carl eventualy stopped Brian late but Robin kept dropping him while he mattered on the world scene.

I would have liked to have seen Robin get another warm up fight before hand, or even do himself a favour and get some sparring in with Calzaghe or Kessler in their build ups.

As long as Robin is fit and injury free I see him making the slow footed Froch look foolish

Tony dodson was outjabbing Froch before he quit (not the first time)

Im pretty sure Robin has the longer reach and with his good jab and right hand he should do well against Frochs low left hand, slow feet and inability to move out of the way of punches

          Froch definitely stops him IMO.

If Froch cant match Lacys performance then Froch really is just a hype job, I mean we have no up and coming or undefeated fighters on his record, no former belt holders or title challengers, we have no evedence to suggest that Carl has what it takes at 30 to do the job.

He has been a pro for 6 years and not even a sniff at a live opponent, he is now in his 30s and still just a contender.

Robin Reid wan the wbc title at 24 by ko in italy.

Froch will never match that, that is why he is fighting a perceived soft touch and why Robin Reid is yet again facing a younger undefeated fighter in his hometown.

Robin has balls, so far Froch has shown non

froch's gonna ruin his own career.

at 30 with 21 fights, hes already an old man with a late start, little experience, and is already injury prone with either his bad knee or his brittle hands. he jokes and clowns like hes 20, but some1's gonna catch him and humiliate him.

i think froch's gonna win this one, but his career's not gonna last much longer.

Froch is getting on but I would say he'l have a title shot within the year and its not like hes been in many wars, he normally gets his opponents outta there before shipping much punishment. Reid will be an ok test but when I say Robin on the contender challange it wasn't the fighter i'd seen in the past. I cant see him making it to the final round in this one.

Besides the Name, Froch is again fighting a low ranked guy, to prove he himself belong at the top of smw...

Kessler's 21st opponent was The Household name of Patrick Rubes.. who's record at the time was 9-9 and It was a 6 round fight..

Froch is alot farther along after 21 fights than Kessler was.....
