The Nevada State Athletic Commission is taking action against Bernard Hopkins for the starting a fight with Winky Wright at their pre-fight weigh-in. Keith Kizer, executive director of the NSAC, has told the media that 10% of Hopkins' $3 million dollar purse ($300,000) will be held by the commission. [details]

Everybody knows that **** is set up to sell tickets. Hopkins was only trying to get more people to watch the fight. This is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. But you have to remember you're talking about the Nevada State Athletic Commission here.Comment

they shouldn't even be fining him, he didn't even throw a punch, it was a palm to the face to stir things up. they're going to be hitting each other in the face for **** sake.................
it just goes to show you that they will do anything to make a buck. it's truely pathetic especially for 300 grand, i could see a 3000 dollar fine or at the very most 30 grand but 300 grand is outrageous and damn near extortion.
**** they only fined zab judah 250,000 for his **** with the mayweather fiasco, and i think only 75,000 with the jay nady incident. i'm not a 100% on zab's fines but i'm next to sure he didn't pay over 300 grand for each individual incident.WTF.................Comment

300,000 doesn't mean ****.. Hopkins gets money from the PPV sales, and that act boosted those so, it all adds up in the end. As long as he wins, lol.Comment

Thats just crazy these pre fight antics make people actually look at the fight. Look at Ali when had was doing all that talkin it made people wanna see the fight and to fine hopkins for a lil mush is just crazyComment
