His body work is far superior to El Terrible, Castillo's punches are a little more snappy but in no way shape or form as damaging or heavy as Miguel's.

I really think once Miguel is able to get back to orthodox fighters we will see him hit less and that left hook become more of a weapon upstairs as well as a gut checker. He does need a little work on defense and or not leaving that jab out there.
Valid points. Castillo turned the right hand into a really sound weapon as his career moved along. I don't remember him being as effective with it when he fought Steve Johnston, as he was a bit "left-happy" in those fights. I feel like the right lead was used to keep Johnston backing up, as opposed to doing real damage with it. It's been awhile since I have seen those fights though.

Cotto is improving with the right though. He used it beautifully against Torres, with that picture perfect counter right cross that put Torres down in the 6th(?).

    • How can you duck someone when negotiations haven't even been discussed? Its not like Cotto said I want this and Floyd said I want this and Floyd said no I won't fight you. Nothing is even on the table. Dumbasses...

In fact, anybody on here will tell you that the big story last year was that PBF "turned down an $8MM offer" from Margarito.

No offense, but you just have your facts very wrong.

What do u call the offer then, I remember very vividly Arum and PBF on ESPN telling that PBF's nxt opponet would be Margarito in august for 8mill. so how can u say there is no fight, both parties argeed, maybe nothing was signed but again mayweather contradicts himself and fights baldomir and instead of defending the 147 world title against margarito he goes after a fight for $ and a paper title at 154. So u think ok i'll give him a pass, maybe this one time (but how many times will he take a page out of Roy jones jrs book), maybe come back he'll defend his world title at 147 against the winner of margarito and williams - nope - the man cops out and retires - but wait i'll come back for a rematch with odlh - nvr mind im retired - wait, i'll fight sugar shane - nvr mind hes pricing himself out of the fight - im retired again, how many old former champs do u want to beat pbf?? what r u proving???? fight the men in ur division that r in the primes of their careers and that is cotto and the winner of margarito and williams, and then hatton at a catch weight, thats what true champs do they clean out the best fighters of their era not fight older former champs for a big payday, why isnt pbf doing this???? why isnt he saying this is is what he should do to be a great fighter???? why is still saying he is retired????? and why for the time wouldnt you consider this ducking???? please answer me that

          1) Yes. Let's compare the records:

PBF has beaten Corrales, Castillo twice, Delahoya, Judah, Gatti, Corley, Sharmba, Chavez, Manfredy, Genaro, etc.

          Cotto?

          2) Foreman beat the common opponents WAY more convincingly than Ali did. What point were you trying to make? Triangular theories don't hold water.

          3) I don't know what you consider "the better NDou", but I can tell you that Lovemore has a total of, ummm, ZERO wins over a top opponent. He is a gatekeeper. That is all he ever was.

          4) Please tell me how PBF has been "pricing himself out". His last fights were against Judah (you know, the guy Miguel just fought after a one year layoff), Baldomir (who was the linear WW champ who beat the guy Miguel just fought), and Oscar Delahoya (who many/most picked to beat Floyd). What fighter alive today wouldn't take an Oscar fight? Be realistic.

Listen, PBF is an *******. Hate him for that. Whatever. He is an arrogant prick. He can be annoying. Go ahead and dislike him for all those reasons. But when you start making stuff up, you stop being a fan of the sport, and you become one of those sissies who is more fascinated with personalities than what takes place inside the ropes.

I see Floyd's many faults, and I am actually appreciative that he puts them on display rather than hiding behind the fakery. (Yeah, Evander. I just glanced at YOU.)

            • Floyd and Arum aren't cool, and Floyd was doing whatever it took to get away from Top Rank. They offered Floyd the Margarito fight but he rejected it.

Why would i lie bro, arum wason TV and said this, infact i even believe it was Stephan A Smiths show... and i have no problem with pbf fighting odlh but my point is come back and defend ur real world title at 147 and clean out the best fighters who r in the primes of their careers instead pbf retires... u gave a lot of hot fuzz with pbfs resume the majority of the fighters u mention were form 4 yrs ago, i am not debating that pbf is a great lightweight im talkin about now and his legacy so please refer to my last post answer those questions
and bro dont attack me and my support of boxing u dont know me, and what ive contributed to the sport from any aspect, its ppl like u who attack ppl on these forums that have made stop posting on **** like this, debate the game dont attack the person

                • Floyd already has a legacy. 5 titles in 5 different weightclasses and remaining undefeated. Anything else would strengthen it.

He won't be able to tie up Miguel when he gets in close, or on the ropes. Roger's main gameplan if Floyd is having trouble on the ropes is, 'Tie your man up'...With that element of their plan thrown to the wayside, what will he do to make up for it?

                    2. If he were to fight Miguel, he would be going up against one of the best fighters to ever cut off the ring. Definately the best pressure fighter he's ever faced, and the best at cutting off the ring, would be Miguel Cotto. The fact that he's an expert at cutting off the ring, and un-clinchable, makes him a not-so-promising opponent. Floyd knows all this.

                    3. Miguel is at his peak. This is the best version of him we've ever seen...

(Lowers gloves)Take ya best shot, flame away Mayweather huggers.
You don't need to state the reasons. Those who know boxing knows Floyd is a big fake. His ignorant fans just keep clinging to the idea that he's the best when he just got another gift decision against an old DLH.

SO don't bother, Floyd is a fake and he just better retire of be exposed.

                      Floyd has nothing dude.

Titles mean nothing unless you won them against old had beens and ducked the fighters of his era.

                      Let's take a look at Floyd's resume.

                      Baldo
                      Gatti
                      Judah

                      And now an old DLH.

Yeah so much for a legacy.

                      NUff said.
