We all agree on this right? Then why do Mayweather and Spinks among others get criticized so badly for moving around the ring? People will say, "Oh he doesnt deserve the win, he ran all night!" And? What I saw was Spinks moving around the ring, and making Taylor miss. Sure it doesnt look as nice as slipping a punch, but it gets the job done.

Fighters like Spinks shouldnt get penalized for the way they fight. Larry Merchant even said Spinks was a throwback to the old days with his skill. Then he said fighters like that should either look for another occupation or change their style. What kind of bull**** is that? Listen I wont pay money to see Spinks fight, and more times than not I wont even watch him fight. Still Im not going to sway more towards his opponent just because of the way he fights.

The goal of boxing is to win a fight convincingly, to hit and not be hit is just one of the numerous ways to achieve it.

The goal is to hit and not get hit. The problem is spinks and mayweather leave out the hitting part.

Boxing has changed from the old days of "hit and not get hit".

            Now it's all about entertainment.

Mayweather always outlands his opponents though because hes so accurate. He is selective with his shots though yes.

he didnt show it in the DLH fight, never seen so many punches hit a mans glove and get considered a clean hit before

DLH did parry a lot of shots, I agree. Thats why I had it so close (7-5 Mayweather)
