This past weekend, former WBO heavyweight champ Corrie Sanders, 41, suffered a bad hand injury during the second win of his comeback. Sanders badly hurt his left hand in the first round of a ten-round contest held last weekend against Brazilian Daniel Bispo at the Emperors Palace in South Africa. He was forced to go the distance, winning every round on the judges scorecards with 100-90 verdicts across the board. [details]

I was alittle surprised at Sanders' trainer's frankness about his fighters financial situation; I guess there's no sugar coating it. "Sanders is broke and needs to fight."

I think that Sanders can have an impact on the division if he stays in shape and gets some good wins under his belt. And I think that Wlad would love to avenge this embarrassing loss sometime in the future.
