I watched the fight for the first time last night on HBO. I didn't buy the PPV because i thought the outcome was predetermined and the end result was as I expected. That being said I was surprised after seeing the fight that Mayweather won the fight!! I thought it was close but I had Dela Hoya winning by one point. I always believed you had to BEAT the champion to winnot being the agressor and running all night shouldn't be how you win professional fights. I believe the majority will disagree with me and is why boxing is not as popular as it used to be. People who think Mayweather is one of the best fighters ever simply haven't seen allot of great fighters. He isn't the best in any weight division,

Floyd IS all about blood, sweat and tears. But he does it in the gym so that he doesn't have to do it on Saturday nights under the lights. That is how he is so supremely conditioned and always in tip-top shape.

"Blood, sweat and tears" doesn't have to mean Gatti/Ward. It is just a DIFFERENT kind of dedication to the sport.

maybe the fighters and two of the judges realized how close the fight was and nuthuggers who will choose any boxing technician over anyone else just to prove how boxing savvy they are are cluless

true, but it doesn't help the fact that he's opponent has almost the same style as him. When did ODLH ever become an aggressive blodd and guts fan pleaser nvr! His fight w/ Hopkins was ****in garbage!!

For someone who used to post some worthwhile threads a while back, you should be ashamed of the bull**** you've been putting up lately. Did you say that DLH fought a "bull**** fight" in your first post? Had DLH not been pressing mayweather and cutting off the ring, we would have been watching "Dancing with the Boxers"(patent pending), with the way Floyd was back-peddling.

DLH's saying that he's got to "think" about the rematch, just like Floyd said he's "retiring" after the last fight. It creates doubt, then interest, which results in more attention being paid to the proposed rematch, which will happen. And if Floyd stands and trades like he said he will, instead of fighting a "bull**** fight", then he's going to end up on his back, likely for the 10 count.

He's gonna take that rematch and fight the same bullshyt fight w/ Mayweather and rob people off of their dough AGAIN! This is ****in ghey if it happens. Boxing at its ugliest form of rematch..

Their first fight was NOT boxing "at its ugliest form", it was a chess match that didnt live up to the hype.

and right now mayweather ain't steping-up as a champ instead,
he is talking ****, well im retired and ****.......de la hoya is a smart
businessman, and boxing always relied oscar since he hit the spotlight in the boxing ring.....maybe if floyd steps it up and fight all current fighters boxing gets interesting and oscar can retire...
