On what grounds? Freddie asked Oscar to do certain things through out the fight which would have helped Oscar to win the fight. Did he do them? It's Oscar, **** no. Don't blame Freddie. Blame the Golden Boy.

cmon Floyd didnt fight his best? if he threw more punches he was open to more punches, I think he did everything he possibly could against a guy who rarely fights
          DLH in the rematch

I doubt that. Floyd knows what he's up against now, there is no point for him to be as cautious as he was this go around. Next time I expect Floyd to UD or maybe a late stoppage.

I really doubt Floyd could knock out Oscar.
Oscar was in the best shape we have seen him in probably since 1998 but he still hadnt fought consistantly in years
I know what you mean though, Floyd could just come out and out box Oscar in a rematch but also Oscar knows what to expect now to

First off, Freddie Roach is the man, although some argue that the fighters he trains were nice before he got there (Pacquiao, Toney, and in this case, definitely Oscar).

But yeah, there's no way Floyd could knock out De La Hoya, or even stop him. This was something that Floyd and his corner were more than aware of during the fight. That's why Floyd never stood toe-to-toe with Oscar and even attempted to throw a flurry (other than the last 10 seconds of the fight).

You got to consider that although both fighters came in at the super welterweight limit (PBF at 150, DLH at 154), Oscar was probably 165-170 on fight night, while Floyd dropped down to 148. That's a pretty considerable weight difference, and given Oscar's iron chin, if those kind of numbers were to remain in the rematch, (which they probably would), I don't see Floyd doing any damage to Oscar.

I think part of Floyd's problem was that he was worried. I think for the 1st time he was worried about how his body would respond, was 154 too much for him, would he still be fast, would he have any power, would Oscar's power really hurt him. I think he found out that it was much easier then he thought it would be and he would be 10x more aggressive next fight and have no worries of Oscar
Floyd wasn't at 154. He was at 148.
