Los Angeles, CA – One of the most highly anticipated weekends of boxing in Las Vegas history just got bigger. As a prelude to the “Cinco de Mayo” festivities on Saturday night, promoter Dan Goossen announced that Goossen Tutor Promotions will present the first-ever professional boxing event in “The Pearl” – the recently opened 2,500 capacity, state-of-the-art theater at the Palms Casino Resort – on Friday, May 4, 2007, airing live on “ShoBox: The New Generation” (SHOWTIME, 11 p.m. ET/PT). And the Chambers-Guinn should be very interesting. -
Malik Scott will go the Brian Nielson route until he steps up. Its truly sad. As for the two real fights, I like Guinn/Chambers. Guinn will stand in front of Chambers and be pot-shotted all night on the inside. As for Arreola/Vargas; Vargas will need to develop some much needed stamina and great footwork to get by the plodding but determined Arreola.Comment
