The WBC is going to use this system in order to prevent matches that are not in accordance with their rankings. Numbers will be for sale just as rankings were for sale in the 80s, and the corruption machine will roll on and on.

i like the idea, but that will never happen in professional boxing unfortunately........

would be good in amatuer system

but this system would effectively cancel out all of those "keep fresh" fights and the "confidence builders"...

The holding rule, proposed near the end, where the ref can take a point for holding more than 5 times in a fight, is going to be called the Ricky Hatton Rule.

I like that. or the Frank Warren rule. He likes matching up his fighters against fighters two categories or lower than them. Frank should promote in Thailand it seems those type of fights happen a lot. He would fit in perfect.

it all makes sense now, 20 defenses, hand picked opponents, no fights being forced by the WBO(in joes case), man who would have thunk it.

any and all boxing orginizations can do whatever they want to try and make fair fights, but it's just a ploy. they have no control over promoters for starters, but all they care about is getting sanctioning fees and whatever other money they can extort from fighters.

it's just another way to try and defuse any negativity they might be feeling from the public, it's going to go back to the same old ****, and better yet it's going to be picked apart from those of us who know **** when we see it...................they can try all they want, but sanctioning bodies are being ran in an indirect way by the promoters, or in other words the all mighty dollar.
