I think it's unreasonable to have expected the unifications to be begun this early into the year. I want to see them as much as the next guy but mandatories have earned their right at a shot- and the politics of boxing have made unification matches hard to create. It is not surprising that there is a lack of unification in any division. The various sanctioning bodies are self perpetuating institutions which exist to pursue their own agendas. Unification diminishes their need to exist and that is why they make it difficult for unification to happen.Comment
