In a fight of the year candidate, IBF Bantamweight Champion Rafael Marquez captured the WBC super bantamweight title by stopping defending champion Israel Vazquez at the end of the seventh round on Saturday. Vazquez had his nose broken in the first round of the fight, knocked Marquez down in the third round, and was barely able to breathe by the end of seventh round. Trainer Freddie Roach stopped the fight before the start of the eight round. [details]
