Dont blame Paulie for the state of boxing, it is how the game is. what warrented torres to get a shot at the title??? nothing, but he still got his shot, and got KO'd. Paulie took Cotto the distance breaking his KO streak and actually won 4-5 rds on the judges scorecard. if u wanna blame anybody blame team cotto for handpicking paulie b/c of his lack of power and they were afraid of a torres/corely redux

I think if u can go the distance and make a fight competive with the top ranked junior welter at the time u elevate ur status to contender. even the cherry fight was a tough fight to comeback from. alot of ppl thought paulie couldnt even pull that off and he did, with ease, ppl talk about the weight but that is nothin, cherry is and was the bigger guy,

for Paulie I would like to see the torres fight it could be a good one, either that or go after Branco, or face the Holt/Arnoautis winner. but i agree paulies style is not to exciting it will only be exciting when he is facein the top guys like a cotto or hatton who can get past his jab

dwidsid3d it looks like you have a good knowledge in boxing I'm a little concern about why STEVE SMOLGER was telling paulie how many seconds where left and to runand dance no referee should giving any fighters that type of advise. It should be the fighter's corner who gives him advise.

As far as TORRES ,which jr.welterweights can't beat him.ARONOTIS beat TORRES hands down but was robbed,lets see MALINAGGI fight DEMETRIS HOPKINS,RICKY HATTON,KENDAL HOLT,N'DOU, CASTILLO,or even VIVIAN HARRIS which I consider the weakest of the bunch.I just don't understand how MALINAGGI can be in line for ANOTHER TITLE SHOT.I didn't understand how he got his first title shot at COTTO now he beats a fighter who isn't in the top ten at 135 having never fought 140 butI guess that qualifies PAULIE for another shot at a title.Listen,I have been following boxing for close to ten years pretty intensly and have never seen anything like this before.I see this kids face everywhere and can't understand why its not like he has this fan freindly style he is a runner for christs sake with no power.For all those people who say the COTTO-MALINAGGI fight was close go rewatch it and turn up the volume for the last round,you can actually hear referee STEVE SMOLGER saying "RUN PAULIE RUN,DANCE PAULIE DANCE, 10 MORE SECONDS KID RUN PAULIE RUN"if the referee was that concerned about the kid's well being then stop the fight.I guarantee that they are going to get this kid seriously HURT ,he collapsed in the dressingroom after the COTTO fight and has a plate with 4 screws now permenetly in his face.Thats what happens in THIS SPORT if you put someone in with 20 tomatoe cans then put him in with a real fighter.GOD FORGIVE THEM IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO PAULIE IN THAT RING.

Is it me, or for a kid who never beat a top ten guy, is this kid getting way too much publicity? now he's talking about a title shot against torres, still without beating a top ten guy!!! i gotta give lou dibella credit. if he can market a melon as a legitimate contender, all the more power to him. But one thing's for sure, i'm not buying into it, and neither should you. until he beats a guy in the top ten, i cannot consider him a legitimate contender and to talk about ANOTHER title shot is absolutely absurd at this point. just goes to show that boxing is turning more like pro wrestling every day and hbo is the WWE of boxing.
