Mayorga was convicted last year of raping a 22-year-old woman at a Managua hotel, but the boxer appealed the conviction to Nicaragua's Supreme Court. Nicaraguan laws allow Mayorga to remain free in the meantime.

I was unaware of that.

I don't think I'll be defending Ricardo Mayorga anytime soon and I share the same exact views that you do in regards to his criminal activity. That aside, everybody is entitled to a fair trial.
