Jose is on a real high right now.... and my thing is that it will be VERY VERY VERY hard for Simms to come off a lay off , when he has never been in a real tough pro fight as it is yet- and be able to go 12 HARD rounds with Jose. Jose is so focused right now and doing ALL the right things... plus he has had THREE tough 12 round fights in a row...... no amount of training, running, sparring, pads, diet, or sit ups can change that for Simms.

What is a "champion in recess"? Is that like when I was in school and we used to fight at recess, if one kid always won he was the "champion in recess"?

Do they have 'recess' in Wales? (About a ten-minute break from class in the midmorning during school)

Simms has been in with a couple of game guys in the past. I'd at least give Garcia and McKart that distinction...but yes the long layoff will probably show up come fight night.

It's good to hear that Rivera is focused and ready for this though. Taking an opponent lightly can be a real death sentence.

I cant wait this is going to be a great card with my two favorite heavy's and then Rivera vs Simms, the best part of it all is that it's free!!!

I put it this way.... Jose has been in TOUCH 12 and 10 rd fights.... Simms fought ONE ten rounder against a guy (I was there) who didnt come tofight real hard and then his ONLY 12 rounder was against Bronco who was obviously not the Bronco from six or sevenyears earlier..Bronco hasnt fought with that intensity he used to show for a while now.. so what I am sayingis Jose in a tough fight and having to dig down hard is nothing new for him.. Simms..never been in that situation as a pro..thats a tough spot to be in coming off a 2 year lay off. Either eway though, jose would NEVER take him lightly..... Jose doesnt think that way at all.
