David Haye Vs O'Neill Bell

He should be made to fight domestic competition i.e. Maccarinelli before given a shot at the top dog of the division. I would rather see an all British clash between Haye and Maccarinelli than watch Haye and Bell.

Comparing Haye to Macarinelli - although I only saw the latter fight for the first time recently against Dominguez, and the former only against Abdoul last night - I would say that Haye has to step up to the next level - world title belts, because if they let Macarinelli near him Haye will be 17-2-0, no question.

Its a fact of the fight game these days that fighters seem to duck the home talent coming up behind them - Hatton vs. Junior Witter? - in order to go for 'prestige' fights, not just for belts but for marketabilty to TV companies. That's how it seems to be to me anyway. Good luck to Haye, its not as if he owes anyone a great fight, just a win. All the same, better luck to Macarinelli, because he seemed to me to be a better fighter...

i don't think last nights fight was typical haye...check out some of his older fights (e.g. his fights against Arthur Williams and Glen Kelly) on youtube, and it'll give you a better idea of what he's capable of.

I like maccarinelli as well, and seeing as he'll be gettin his own version of the cruiserweight title when he beats nelson in september, i wouldn't be suprised if haye pushes for a match-up.

nelson can be tricky, but he's been out for a while and looked pretty bad in tha last few rounds against Cantatore. i reckon macca could jus be hungry enough to knock a middle-aged nelson out.

I think Haye should fight some domestic fighters first. There are question marks over him. He shoud fight Enzo.

I think David would stop Enzo. He's just a better all round fighter. Enzo has been fighting sub par opponents. **** knows what Haye was doing against a Abdoul the other night, fair enough if he wanted to win with the jab but Jesus Christ he could have thrown a few more right hands and left hooks, surely!? But that's not typical Haye, and as the man himself said afterwards, against Bell he would be a different fighter. I think Enzo will lose to Johnny Nelson. He's too inexperienced, and a level down from Johnny. Mark Hobson would have beaten him had he not been so inactive going in and had proper time to prepare. He took the fight on two weeks notice, having been out for about 18 months and very nearly beat the Welshman. Hobson is European level at best, and IMO so is Enzo. David is world class and will hopefully prove it. I don't fancy his chances at heavy though. He's far too small and, let's face it, a bit chinny.

It'd go like this. Haye would absolutely dominate Bell for the first 9-10 rounds, knocking him down about 12 times in the process. But somehow Bell would keep getting up and would get a seemingly out of nowhere turn around and knockout in 11-12. And you'd be like "WTF? he did it again? wtf?! Bell was getting his ass beat!"
