Even as a fan who prefers technical proficiency (boxing is a craft after all), I give him all the respect in the world for what he's achieved and brought to the sport. He's a bit like Malignaggi. Despite his glaring disadvantages he's found a way to succeed at world class level. This time round I don't think his toughness will be enough to see him last the distance, let alone get a victory.
It will imo. If you look at round 6, Groves landed something like 25 flush punches. Not one of them hurt Froch, but towards the end of the round Froch caught Groves on the chin and it rocked him.

Groves can clock Froch all night, but unless Froch physically runs into a shot like he did in R.1, then he's not going to hurt him imo. I watched Groves-DeGale the other week, JDG hurt Groves at least twice too.

I'll take my hat off to him if he lasts the distance, but his skill set doesn't make that likely.
    and if he wins again?

I've got Gonzales in that one. He looked really good against Oosthuizen, DeGale is talented but has been off the boil.

    • Froch is certainly getting the better of the pre-fight this time.

That's a few times now that Groves has been left stumped and out of words, big change from last time. I've got Carl via stoppage again.

      • Definitely, Froch is more mature in this build up but Groves is just more entertaining. Having said that, both guys have toned it down a bit...but on Ringside, Groves definitely got under Froch's skin yet again. Heck, Groves is even getting under Froch's bros skin lol

Froch is the only delusional one there

            Here is Part 2:

From about 11:20 onwards for about 3 minutes, Froch and Groves talk about rematches etc. Groves comes out of it pretty bad..

            Top man

That is a ludicrous statement. I really don't know what you expect me to do with that?

If it was in a non controversial manner, then I'd have immense respect for the man. Not only for over coming adversity but for proving me wrong.

              • Erik Skoglund, who I've seen many times, is sparring with Groves. Skoglund is a major prospect.

Quite surprising since he fought not too long ago.

I think you're deliberately taking it literally? To be clear every punch hurts, even Paulie Malignaggi's but what I'm saying is he wasn't "hurt", "rocked" or "in danger". By the end of the round Groves was, from a shot which landed "**** on the chen". Froch's punch resistance is by far superior.

I think Cleverly fought less than a week before sparring with Kessler for Froch II.
