It actually bothers me when people dont respect him because he is a fighter who fights the best comp out there time and time again and thats what we want as fans, now If he isn't getting credit and respect for it then why should we expect any other fighters to step up and face the best each time out? Wouldnt it be smarter for them to cherry pick and duck their way through a career if they wont get the respect for facing the best anyway???
Boxing would be a far better sport if there were more fighters like Carl Froch in it

Groves was whooping em bad though and deserves a rematch so lets hope he gets it and we can see who really is the superior fighter because I still dont know tbh
Froch deserves respect, but he has to give Groves a rematch..
If the unthinkable happens, and he does'nt, Carl's legacy will be tarnished for good. Especially if George goes on to be successful elsewhere, which I strongly suspect he might.

Haye not only lost to carl Thompson, he got brutally koed.

Wladimir literally didn't lose a round to him.

Froch did far better against ward than Haye did against Wald.

Froch revenged his only other loss.

Haye imo had a no contest against Valuev.

      More technically proficient my arse.

      Move on now....
Your disagreement of my post is a great compliment.

1: I don't care what so called boxing experts think

2: Froch perhaps did marginally better against Ward than Haye against Klitschko. Hardly a fight to write home about in regards to Froch as Ward pretty much schooled him.

3: Haye is clearly more technically proficient than Froch and that is not entirely related to how good Haye is but rather to Froch's obvious weaknesses. Look how many big flush power punches Froch takes. If Haye took punches like that he'd have been knocked out more times than the once he has because a) He is a heavyweight and b) Haye's chin is not anywhere near as good as Froch's.

If you have eyes you can surely see how open he can be to solid punches, exhibited by how often he actually does get hit with big punches. Plus it is also easy to see how laboured his foot speed and movement is. Without a undeniably great chin he'd unlikely ever have been a world champion.

Surely the reason Froch has faced such tough opposition is because he couldn't make good money any other way. Do you not think that other fighters would sign up to a super-six style tournament in their respective divisions if they were in Froch's position? It was really the super-six tournament that allowed Froch to face such tough opposition.

I do agree though that the criticism of Froch since the Groves fight has been a bit excessive.

I want the Groves fight, it was great and the ending was far from conclusive we were robbed of either a spectacular legit KO from behind or a massive upset.....OR a screw job on the cards......
George deserves a rematch, and it wont look good for Carl if he doesnt give him one. If Froch takes on another hard case big name then it will help his image but people at least in the UK will always be calling for Groves 2

I rate Groves but Froch made him look even better than he is

I think theres something to that yeah, but I still give him credit because he could have stayed out after his big win over Taylor and took easier fights at home milking the UK fans

Groves made him look ponderous and slow most of the time in there but he was coming back to be fair to him so some of it is harsh, he did himself no favours post fight though

I don't think he'd have made much money after the Taylor fight though, I don't think he was much of a money generator until very recently. It is great that the vast majority of his fights have been legitimate fights and not defences that make you yawn in anticipation like is so often the case in boxing but I think he gets too much credit for being somehow manlier or tougher than others because of it. I just think he gambled with fairly little to lose in the hopes of big money and success and to his credit he has achieved that.

Haye fought most fights at cruiserweight not Heavyweight, and has been knocked down and badly bloodied far worse than froch. Even monte barrett knocked haye down.

Froch has fought far better opposition and never nearly got stopped. Hes taken 2 8 counts in his career and gone on to win both.

Haye Had a no contect against the terrible Valuev, lost every round to Wlad, knocked down by cruiser mormeck and knocked out by British Level cruiser weight Carl Thompson.

Great defence there mate, face it Froch Legacy will go down far better than Haye and rightfully so.

Froch is great and all...but he either has two options imo:

                  1. Give Groves the rematch
                  2. Retire...he has nothing else to prove

what is it with you idiots and seeing fighters retire? who the hell are you guys to even give that advice? if you been training since you were a kid and just now after a few years your getting the big fights and big money fights why would you retire because some ****** ass fans advise you to? its not that they dont have anything left to prove but there is still a lot of money to be made and for you idiots who say "well then he will end up being like Muhammed Ali all messed up" you dont think fighters know the repercussion of still fighting? they been fighting for 90 percent or more of their lives and you guys all of a sudden want them to stop and retire? are you guys going to pay their bills for them? feed the family??

i hate reading when ****** fans say "so and so needs to retire, roy jones needs to retire, jmm needs to stop being a cry baby and retire, pacman should retire"

shut the hell up all of you, seriously. you guys should retire off of this ****ing forum.
