Best HW of all time? come on guys, that's not even close to reality. He's a great boxer, but def. not the best of all time.

Only Lennox could really trouble him. I doubt any other in history would match him. A very dominant champion, in every sense. Vitali is an ATG heavyweight, regardless of his 'lacking' resume.

I think Vitali makes an all-time top 20 Heavyweight list.

He's keeping good company in a list of top-class guys like Patterson, Norton, Bowe, Tunney, Wlad, Holyfield and Ezzard Charles who are worthy of serious respect and who played a big role in the division's history without ever achieving true greatness.

But he's not up in the elite club with Ali (clearly), Louis, Liston, Holmes, Dempsey, Marciano, Tyson, Frazier, Lewis or Foreman.

The record is comparable with anyone in the 'elite club' (especially with that stoppage ratio and longevity of reign) but you can't be viewed as all-time great when your key wins involve the likes of Herbie Hide, Kirk Johnson, Sam Peter, Sanders, Gomez, Briggs and Danny Williams.

The unfortunate curse hovering over both brothers is that we almost certainly never find out how good they really were....the opposition was either too poor, too old or too small.

He is a solid heavyweight that would give any top ATG heavyweight trouble though. He is difficult to pick against even the greatest heavies of all time.

Unfortunately for a real good guy like Vitali, his fans often negate that fact completely. I mean let's be honest here, he's fought one top ten fighter since his comeback. And even against Adamek, he failed to look impressive. His best years was taken away from him.

what beast years? he quit vs byrd, he beat Vaughn bean, larry Donald, obed Sullivan, lost to lennox, then he harpooned a 270 pound kirk johnson, then got a vacant title win over an overweight journeyman, then made an awesome first defence vs danny Williams then backed out of fights with rahman & maskaev...where is his beast you are taking about?

I got through 3 minutes of this video and had to turn it off because I wasn't sure whether the commentator was having a laugh or not. Just to be clear Vitali is fighting Chisora in that video, not the second coming of Smokin' Joe.
