Joshua's chin isn't great; but neither was Lewis'.

I like the sound of Lennox supporting Anthony. Not so sure about Adam Booth's influence, though - the guy is overrated IMO. Joshua needs a defensive-minded trainer.

      Why isnt Joshua's chin great?

He got put down by Dillian Whyte, but that was after only a handful of fights and Dillian Whyte is quite good.

Agree on Adam Booth, not sure he would suit Joshua as a trainer just due to the style Booth has his guys fighting. He could stick with Mccracken to be fair, theyve worked together for the Olympics already and he's a good domestic trainer imo

Heard rumours before the Olympics that Joshua was dropped/given standing counts a few times in sparring/AMS. Not sure if there's any truth in; it doesn't matter anyway. If he can develop a defensive style ala Lewis or Wladimir, he'll be force to be reckoned with.

Good shout re. McCracken. He's a withdrawn figure, who just gets on with his job; not like Booth, who is all talk.

There were a couple of snippets in the national newspapers over the weekend that Luke Campbell is going to make an announcement shortly.....

........he might shock and amaze us by staying amateur, but my guess is that Eddie 'Blofeld' Hearn has just moved a step nearer to his cunning masterplan of having every notable British boxer in his stable.

........but it did leave me wondering what the heck is going on with Luke, Fred Evans and Anthony Joshua.

They've got two Olympic golds and a silver medal between them but the Games were in the late summer of 2012 and we're now well into 2013. Only Ogogo, who got a bronze, has decided to turn pro.

Personally, I am not sure Evans is doing much more than marking-time and getting paid with the WSB . I'd far rather he signed pro-forms and make the most of his talent. Luke C does not seem to have made any comment as I far as I know and Joshua is still toying with extending his amateur career.

These guys have now had a decent break after the Games to recover and fully consider their options....so what are they waiting for?
That's the problem with TV today...
Offering a not even turned professional boxer his way to build up even more hype and fuss around his name on a ****** show like that, leave that to past it half dead footballers like David Seaman and... Ryan Giggs.

                  Stop the waiting.

None of them are anything special.

I was high on Evans at one point, prior to the Olympics he had a lot of buzz but I haven't been really impressed with him. Think he got knocked out cold recently too? He's still young and I haven't seen that much of him but from what I have seen, he looks ok.

Campbell would do well to stay as an amateur as he does not looked suited to the pro ranks.

Joshua, all hype and not much substance. A gold medal which he doesn't really deserve and his inexperience is driving force behind all the hype he's getting. I do think he's a good talent but is heading down the wrong path of bulking up too much. He's done the right thing staying amateur, needs a couple more years than should turn over.

I see Joshua having some success and possibly Evans too, Campbell is the last person I want to see turnover. If you want to look for our star amateur, look no further than Andrew Selby.

I agree on Evans he just isnt good enough yet to go pro, he got stopped by Mtrofanov (spelling?) a Ukrainian fella who looks pretty decent.

I think Campbell will be better than you have given him credit for, the guy is pretty tall for a bantamweight (like 5'7/5'8 i think?) and is a decent boxer. I see him being a good pro tbh.

Joshua either seems to get overrated or underrated atm. Obviously he isnt the most fluid boxer yet but however you swing it the guy has a silver medal at the worlds, a gold at ABA, and 3/4 wins at the Olympics (one loss to a brilliant Cuban), thats very impressive for a guy his age and experience. I actually see him being a better pro than he is an amateur too depending on how his chin holds up.

I do rate Joshua as being the best of those mentioned, he obviously has some talent for where he is now but he's not as good as people thought he was.

I think he'll turn over as a good professional and achieve some success but he's lost some fluidity that he had early on his career and is becoming more static. He's still got a lot of time left, I just don't want to see him develop bad habits and we're yet to see everything of him.

Campbell has an amateurish style and I don't really see it translating into the pro-ring, I hope he proves me wrong though.
