Khan damage control seem to be using a combination of 3 excuses to explain away the Garcia loss.
1) The lucky punch ( We are told it was a lucky one off fluke punch that would have dropped anybody). The truth is Garcia was looking to land that shot and it is his MO and can in no way be described as lucky.
2) Poor preparation due to Roach not being able to devote sufficient time in the build up. There may be something in this as Khan is not a self suficient independantly minded fighter. But we were told in his build up he never felt better prepared or stronger. You can't have it both ways.
3) The strong hint that Roach has not taught him properly and worked on his defence hence the talk about looking for an alternative coach. There is some truth in this as it is clear his defence has not been worked on and he has no infighting skills as demonstrated in the Peterson fight. The signs were there all along and many on this forum pointed out Khan's deficiences and really it should not have taken the loss to Garcia to make the penny drop that he needs a defence.
All these excuses are designed to take the blame for any loss away from Khan who can do no wrong. But it was Garcia who beat him up and if you watch the fight again you can see him progressively working Khan out and there is no way that Khan could have kept up out boxing him like he did for the first 2 rounds for the entire fight. Eventually Garcia would have caught up with him. These excuses are an insult to Garcia. The reason Khan lost was because Garcia beat him up and that is to do with Garcia and rather than pin the loss on excuses how about giving Garcia some credit in stead. That is more plausable to me.Comment

I think the best excuse khan could give is just admit you underestimated your opponent due to the fact your heads clearly stuck up your backside you felt on the night you were made of kevlar which you were not, yes your extremely fast but you dont have very good defence so if you dive in at your oppponent and he takes a step back mixed with a swinging left hook while hes checking out his new shoes you get tagged and do the chicken dance for the fans.Comment

It is really convincing stuff. Shah says Garcia won't have a rematch because he is frightened because he knows he will lose.

Just as we can wipe the shocking performance against Peterson from the memory banks because of PEDs and cheating judges and a man in a hat we should do the same with the Garcia fight as he is not human but a Nephilim mutant.
Team Khan wants us to believe in fairy tales so why not believe in this great excuse as it is nearly as plausable as the other great excuses that come out of Team Khan.Comment
