  • Burns vs Cook

Who is taking this one? Its another pick em fight like Murray vs Mitchell but Burns has the confidence that comes with being champion and both guys know that Ricky schooled the man who KO'd Cook in Martinez so that might give the mental edge to Burns but its a tight fight to call.

Im going with my fellow Scot Ricky Burns on the cards and i really hope im right as im a big fan now, guys a class act and a very nice lad

Yeh very true about Cook, I agree, shouldn't be near a belt.

He does look in half decent shape from what I can make out so he'll be a tough challange for Burns in the opening rounds.

He may be a fellow countryman but I completely agree about Burns. When he steps up he may well be found out, he's not even the best in the UK if I tell it from the head rather than heart.

Love the guy to bits though and wish him all the best for sats and going forward. Prove me wrong son! (like he did everyone with Roman)

I picked Burns over Martinez but i never rated Rocky much anyway and thought Rickys style would get him the win.

Burns im a huge fan of and yeah him being Scottish is part of the reason, i think everyone agree's he isnt THE best guy out there but he stepped up in his title shot and im hoping he can grow into his role as champ

I like Burns, but his competiton has been terrible. i hope he picks someone decent after taking care of Cook. I know he needs to make a few easy pounds of the belt before he risks losing it but his 3 defences (including Cook at this stage) shouldnt have been near a world title fight. He wanted to fight Appleby ffs before Laryea through a spanner in the works.

Me as well mate i'm a big Burns fan as well man .Did you check out that Adrian Broner ( wbo 1 mandatory ) Jason Litzau fight man .Guy look's like a beast .If Burns does step up man hat off to him .Martinez said cause he came to Scotland early he couldn't rehydrate but that could be only an excuse .The weather is probably opposite to Puerto Rico though man and that's what it says on Rosstraining about combat athletes .They must adapt to there surroundings .Still wish Burns all the best though and will back him all the way but Rocky could have lost some ko power.

You think? I've only seen Burns and Cook fight a handful of times but Burns has a serious lack of power IMO.

I would be shocked if he stopped him.
