I wasn't at all. And that's not a knock on Kevin's talent, but I expected it could go down that way because the opposition he'd been feeding off was no adequate preparation to face a guy like Katsidis (even if Kevin was excellent against Prescott, that guy's 'world class' reputation really only came down to 60 seconds work against a shambolic Khan). It wasn't all the fault of that one camp...if anything, that's an excuse.Originally posted by Prince Mongo View PostMitchell looked really small against Katsidis. I don't think he is a real lightweight. Losing at West Ham the way he did in the biggest fight of his life must have really dented his ego. Mentally I am not sure he will recover. He was having domestic problems I doubt losing has helped that especially as his other half was undermined his preparation.Originally posted by Prince Mongo View PostWatching Katsidis lose to an old great champion must really make Mitchell realise his level compared to the best. He need to come back and keep active. The longer he leaves it the harder it is going to be.
Good posts and very true. Fighting at domestic level, then one good win against Prescott (that wasn't as good in reality) to prepare for the warrior Kats isn't going to prepare you for ****.
Prince your posts are what I'm talking about. Kevin comes across not ****y but certainly did come across as 'aware of his potential' and when it all crumbles on your 1st big hometown show it must take some desire from a fighter, especially Kevins sort who has had injury problems, been inactive and loses in front of his fans for the 1st time.
On the other hand loses can be the best thing that happens to a fighter. He should have all the desire needed when you consider he had a good year out working a 9-5 on train tracks......must get active soon.
