I was at the Mitchell vs Katsidis fight. Mitchell seemed detemined to test Katsidis power which surprised me. He looked like his ego got the better of him which I dont understand as with Prescott he boxed beautifully.

Mitchell was catching Katsidis and stunned him a couple of times when Mitchell took the center of the ring. When he just stood on the ropes and traded he looked very vunerable, he had a philly shell guard similar to Mayweather but didnt use it very well in this position as he was hurt badly a few times.

I think Khan would keep the center of the ring, he knows from experience not to fight a puncher at their own game and he would box Katsidis and use his speed to beat him up and win a lopsided points decision or late stoppage.

I cannot see Katsidis winnning this, he is a big puncher but I cant see him getting to Khan with his short arms. Precott has pipe cleaner arms and had a good reach, Katsidis would need to get on the inside, Khan is just way too fast.

Gomez and Limond didn't have long arms either, and they were able to floor him. IMO Katsidis (and Maidana too, BTW) is a type of fighter that you can't outrun without making any contact on inside. They are just relentlessly charging forward, eating or slipping punches, and eventually they will GET to you. And I can just imagine what would happen to Khan if one of those guys will catch him clean.

I will go with power and determination of Katsidis on this one.

I cannot see Khan losing, I still think he's going to get better under Freddie.

I like Katsidis. He's got a bit of craft, power and guts. He's also coming off a good win against Mitchell. But Khan is not a good option for him. Yes, he may trouble Amir's questionable beard, but he's going to take a hell of a lot of punishment for every clean hit. Khan is bigger, faster, more accurate, has tremendous fitness and the best cornerman in the business.

I won't rule out a Katsidis win completely. But the smart money is on him taking a beating.
