He's been wingeing on SkySports News today saying Hatton looks a lot bigger than 12stone 10 and basically telling everyone that wants to see him fight to shut up. Didn't hear anything about Amir.

        no it wasint
Rafael's remark: In October, Lopez struggled mightily in a junior featherweight title defense against Rogers Mtagwa at Madison Square Garden. Lopez barely hung on to make it to the final bell after being nearly knocked out at the end of the 11th round and getting batted around the ring for the entire 12th round. But that hellish night seems like a long time ago after seeing Lopez's outstanding performance in the main event of HBO's "Boxing After Dark" on Saturday in MSG, with a raucous, near-sellout crowd of 5,142 (mostly Puerto Ricans) almost all rooting for him. Lopez was moving up in weight and challenging the steady Luevano, 28, a fellow southpaw who had made six title defenses and faced some quality opponents. But he just didn't have enough firepower to keep Lopez, 26, off of him. Lopez dominated the fight. His punches were much heavier than Luevano's and they took their toll. Luevano, of La Puente, Calif., had a bloody nose and a swollen left eye. He ate a ton of shots and had only won a single round on one scorecard going into the seventh round. That's when a furious Lopez attack dumped Luevano to the canvas near the ropes. He was very shaky as he got to his feet to beat the count, but his legs were a mess, and referee Benji Esteves wisely called it off.

For once I think Warren will keep quiet about Khan as I really think he knows Khan's chin will let him down when he fights a good fighter and get KOd again. Once that happens he will say I told you so but you did not listen just like I warned you about not taking on Prescott. If the wheels come off in America US fight fans will not be so gullible and open to spin as UK fans have been and Khan will be forced to return to the UK and fight soft canned fights under Warren. I think that is what Warren is holding out for after all he did an amazing job in taking Khan from the Prescott loss to a title and salvaging his career.

british_fan, Every time Warren has had a split with his marquee fighter eg Hamed ,Hatton, Calzaghe he has gone on to slag them off in the press and pointed out their short comings. Why did he do it then and not now with Khan? He has complained about Khan giving him shoddy treatment about not having the decency to tell him he had signed with Golden Boy having to find out about it 10th hand, disappointment about loyalty etc he has complained about Roach's influence in the decision but he says he likes Khan and wishes him the best. This is out of character. There are several posters on this website that predicted that Warren would really slag off Khan when they split. To me he is keeping his options open and is doing his best not to burn his bridges in order to capitalise on Khan's US venture not turning out well. With Hamed,Hatton and Calzaghe the rift was perminent with no chance of reconciliation then Warren really went for it slagging off his former clients and he holds a grudge for a long time as proved by his recent scathing attacks on Hatton's proposed come back and litigation with Calzaghe. With Khan I think he fancies his chances of being his promoter again and that is dependant on things not going as planned in the States. The post may seem ******ed to you and I suspect you are one of the gullible British fans I was talking about and that would seem to be the case from your Boxing scene name but I am sure there are others that can see there is a strong line of logic in what I have written even if you are too thick to get it.

Its because Amir has only signed a 3-fight deal with GBP. Frank is just waiting to see what will happen in the US. If Amir doesnt do well in the US he might come back to fight in the UK and Frank can promote him again then

wazaa, Thanks. There had to be a reason Frank was acting out of character. It just did not add up otherwise. He will not want a Hatton Khan fight to go ahead as Hatton has made it clear he will not work with Warren . If that fight were to go ahead it would be Khan's first UK fight without Warren as a promoter and because Hatton is closely tied with Golden Boy would be a show case for Hatton promotions to offer Khan their services in future fights. That has to be one of Warren's fears and would fit in with his disparaging comments about Hatton and his come back.
