well the point was he let himself get hit, repeatedly. I dont doubt that getting hit by Tyson hurts, but he walked straight into every single punch, he made no attempt to move his head, throw a punch or block anything in the whole fight, thats why i thought it was a fix, and i still do.
Why 'fix' it? Ellis never had a prayer in the first place. Look at his record, he started reasonably but in the last seven years or so has only had a couple of wins, both against real tomato cans. Against Fury it was his turn to be the tomato can. What baffles me, though is why he is fighting at HW at all, he could clearly make the CW limit with ease; he was only a few pounds over against both Fury and Maccarinelli, and has obvious flab to shed. If he wants to stick with boxing, I'm sure he would have a lot more success that way.
Thats funny because to me it looked like he just got battered.
It didnt seem odd that he didnt attempt to throw a single punch back, i know fighters get caught cold and some get sparked out by a single punch. That **** can happen, but this was different
Anybody that thinks Ellis came to fight after watching that video needs a reality check.
I agreed with what Barry McGuigan said afterwards : We didn't learn anything about Fury in that bout. He compared Bruno quite rightly to Frank Bruno in the 80's when he knocked over easy opponents until Jumbo Cummings had him almost KO'd and then Bonecrusher did the job proper. Does Fury have a chin, stamina, heart? Don't know yet. He fights well, but he has a lot to do to prove he has it. His conditioning is also in need of gym work.
