Carl would never get punches off against calzaghe. Joe would outwork him solidly and completely for 12 rounds, but thats not the point.
I dont really see a problem with froch running his mouth, hopefully he'll do the same thing on ITV and get the british press talking about froch/calzaghe. Even if it doesnt happen it would raise carls profile a bit which is exactly what he needs. Calzaghe has no reason to fight him just as Hatton has no reason to fight witter (the old 'i have to prove it to myself' thing might be a possible reason, but i doubt it). I douibt it will ever happen, but let the lad dream.

If Joe is so great why was he dropped, cut and beaten up for long spells by a has-been in his mid 40's ?

Froch is his mandatory now - we'll see if Froch is such a soft touch if Joe will take the fight then, afterall Joe is so powerful and gifted he should end it in the first round shouldn't he ?

Calzaghe has also beaten Reid, remember. The difference? Joe beat a world clss fighter in his prime, Froch beat an aging **** star.
