Fight of the year ?

The two Vasquez - Marquez fights were amazing, can't wait for the third fight. However, i'd split them by the Cotto - Judah fight.

1. Vasquez - Marquez 2
2. Cotto - Judah
3. Vasquez - Marquez 1

IMO, there are a few candidates for FOY:

Cotto-Judah
Marquez-Vasquez I
Pavlik-Taylor
Katsidis-Earl
Katsidis-Amonsot
Codrington-Bika

Two that I heard of but have yet to watch were Haye-Mormeck and Castillejo-Carrera, though I think the latter probably is a bit overrated.
And we still have Mayweather-Hatton and Vargas-Mayorga. DeLaHoya-Mayweather may be a candidate only because of the hype around the fight and the close outcome.

IMHO, it will come down to Cotto-Judah, Taylor-Pavlik, Marquez-Vasquez and possibly Vargas-Mayorga (I think Vargas will want to go out with a ****) or Codrington-Bika.

Vazquez-Marquez was great I agree but I still preferred Bika-Codrington.
It depends on what Mayweather Hatton turns out like IMO, but yeah upto now I'd say Pavlik-Taylor was odds on fave to get the vote.

If Hatton can pull off the upset then Mayweather Hatton will win FOTY for the simple fact that its such a big event. Also, if Hatton wins, he pretty much has to win by KO, which means that Floyd will either stand in front of him and trade or try and move and get caught. If he was moving and he got caught, then this fight isnt anywhere close to FOTY (although will probably still win). If Floyd stands and trades with Hatton it should be a thriller. The only problem with that is it might still not be a worthy winner of FOTY because if Floyd stands and trades with Hatton then he gets KO'd in the first 2 rounds, can a fight that doesnt make the 3rd round really be the best fight of the year?

From what I've seen so far, I'd say Marquez v Juarez II is a good candidate for FOTY *goes to find/watch all of the others mentioned*
