    Yeah it's trash.

I'm kinda busy, but maybe we should have a thread for the all-time top 20 p4p as a sticky. If you, or someone else, can compile/find a decent list we can have that as a starting point.

I will then unstick the top 5 which is kinda useless IMO. A top 20 has the advantage that there's more to debate and some might want field a case for a contemporary fighter to make it to the list.

I try not to get worked up over these opinion lists but.... this is funny LOL !
Basing the most blatant errors on a 5 ? rating system for absurdity. Oscar of course gets more....
Seems to me whomever put this list together was born in the 90's and threw in some old timers to try and show how objective he is.

      1- Mayweather ?????
      2 - Manny ?????
      6 - Hopkins ?????
8 - Oscar ?????????????????????????????? - LOL ! Because we all know he was greater than Leonard,Hearns,Duran,Hagler,Pryor,Arguello,Sweet Pea,Holmes,Sal Sanchez etc etc

          - -IBRO the most comprehensively compiled top 20 p4p on the planet, but 13 years old, ie missing all of Manny's Ring p4p records.

          http://www.ibroresearch.com/2006/09/pound-for-pound/

Half them codgers moved on to Valhalla, so it's a new dawn and who can compile such a comprehensive updated p4p list in this dumbing down of the populace?

I can't find my old list so I pilfered this from McGrain. For those who don't know him he is one of the most historically knowledgeable boxing posters and historians I've come across in more than 20 years on different boxing forums. Our top 5 are the same, but there are things at a glance I disagree with on other placements. Anyway, when I get more time I will compile my top 20 list again. Until than I thought this was a good starting point for the topic.

            01 - Sam Langford
            02 - Harry Greb
            03 - Sugar Ray Robinson
            04 - Henry Armstrong
            05 - Ezzard Charles
            06 - Bob Fitzsimmons
            07 - Muhammad Ali
            08 - Joe Gans
            09 - Joe Louis
            10 - Roberto Duran.
            11 - Benny Leonard
            12 - Mickey Walker
            13 - Willie Pep
            14 - Barney Ross
            15 - Archie Moore
            16 - Ray Leonard
            17 - George Dixon
            18 - Terry McGovern
            19 - Packey McFarland
            20 - Pernell Whitaker

Okay, I need a confirmation from one of you historians, but doesn't one of the ATG middleweights deserve to be on an all time top 20 pound for pound list, like Carlos Monzon, considered the best middleweight of all time and maybe also Hagler?

And it's interesting you mention sticky lists because I was actually going to not only ask if you were going to post one, but also if you were going to do separate ones for different weight classes for heavyweight, light heavy, middle, welter and light. Do you think you guys would do stick lists for those or just pound for pound?

Also, I was thinking of maybe a list of boxing facts, like basic things to know for new fans that want to know about boxing history you guys could maybe post in some kind of sticky topic. Maybe even like an FAQ list like whose considered the best pound for pound boxer of all time and it would say Sugar Ray Robinson aka SRR, stuff like that. I was thinking of typing out some stuff for myself and saving it either way and calling it "What Did I Learn So Far in the Boxing Scene History Section". It would probably have things like who the best pound for pound boxer of all time is, whose considered the best at those weight classes, best resumes, stuff like that I've read in posts here over the years since 2010 that I can remember.

                    Archived now in a dustbin?
