--- Arch holds the KO record, ya musta forgot.

Moreover he never relinquished his LH title in the next 10yrs and was a ranked heavy for most of that time.

No biggie, we can see yer filled up to yer eyeballs.

Moore earned the shot as a heavyweight contender. I wrote about this last week. Both Moore and Charles and Walcott and even Louis at that time who went 10-1 (if I remember correctly) all were legit getting their shot.
We're they older fighters yes but they were winning fighters too!

McNulty try speaking like a man instead of all the degrading talk.
You sound like a teenage boy who needs his butt whipped!

Someone should immediately ban those posters who use foul language and whose sole purpose is to insult. They add nothing to the discussion.

No knowledgeable boxing historian disagrees with the greatness of Marciano. Many felt they could hit Rocky at will but found he was a much more difficult target in the ring. His low crouch and follow through duck after he threw a blow put him out of harms way of many counters.

Only one hwt champion retired undefeated. Yes it's a big deal.

I won't even be bothered to respond to that kind of rubbish in this section. Some people are in the know, some aren't. He obviously isn't.

Even if he stayed low .
Qawi had one of the best defense ever.
And he moved his head way better than Rocky.
            Holy still beat him .
That's true but Rocky's work rate and punching power far exceeded Qawi's. And Holyfield liked to brawl, especially in those days. As for Spinks, I think he'd have to be in his 200+ pound form for this one to work out in his favor.

Most accept JJ and Ez left their bests in their wars with each other, yet both came close to beating him.

However Rock was still improving, so maybe best to best might be more problematic than we can see.
I can accept that on the right night, Charles and Walcott could've prevailed.

I would pick Dempsey and Tunney over Rocky. I also believe Ezzard Charles would have beaten him had he not been mentally tormented from killing a guy in the ring before their fights. Billy Conn may have stood a chance too, along with Michael Spinks and Evander Holyfield at CW.

RJJ would have beat Rocky I think.
He'd have a chance but Marciano's strength, style and punching power makes me think he wears down and brutally stops Jones. Though Jones is ahead on the cards at time of stoppage.

Charles on the right night may have won. Spinks IMO would have to be 200+ pounds at 175 I don't think he'd have the needed physicality. If Marciano could overpower Charles and Moore both 185ish to 190ish pounds then I think he'd get to Spinks at 170-175. Holyfield was tough and I think it'd be a war but at CW I see Marciano wearing Holyfield down, maybe stopping him late.

Prime Marciano beats any man over or under 200lbs

He could take lennox and joshua at the same time tbh
