Joe Louis belongs on the list, surely?

An interesting list, but I have to disagree with a lot of it. Jimmy Wilde to me, is nowhere near top 25... let alone number 1 best boxer of all time. I disagree with Salvador Sanchez being ahead of Julio Cesar Chavez. What he was able to accomplish with such a short amount of time was nothing short of amazing, but unfortunately he died too early to surpass Chavez IMO. Lastly, Mike Tyson was a great fighter, but isn't top 25 either IMO.

Just my two cents. It also depends on what criteria you're using. Are you using just résumé, or also taking skill/talent into the equation?

how do you rate a guy with no fights available to critique ? if just by resumes, you should take a real look at those guys. its your list but you should state how you came to it.

Very well may be true. There are 2 things to consider though. First, he never had an amateur career, instead fighting for money at Carnivals and fairs. Second, many records of the time are incomplete. That said, he wouldn't make my top 10 and maybe not 25.

Lot of missing fighters on this list. Ross, Canzoneri, Louis....plenty more I'm sure if I looked into it. To each his own though.
