He was a pro for 10 years when he fought Ali and fought another 6 years after the Ali bouts! He was 36-1 as Champion prior to Ali, so Paterson was not the best talent he fought!

I mentioned Mechan background because his family had a full history in the sport. That means something to boxing people you wouldn't know that not being involved in the sport.

Ali was a superior talent to Liston. Ali handled Liston in spar sessions in Miami years prior to their fights so Dundee had a strong feeling that Liston would not deal with Ali's speed of hands & feet.
I liked Liston in the ring, he was mobbed controlled and that's a tough situation for anyone. He has solid skill sets and could punch hard with either hand but he was a front runner and when things turned on him he didn't respond well.

Liston was NOT in his PRIME against Ali.You WISH to think that to build up Ali your favorite fighter no matter how ridiculous you big him up and inflate facts...Liston wasn't even in his prime when he fought in 1962..One wouldn't have to be BORN then to study or use common sense to know that...Liston had slowed down significantly and had injuries in his body. You said it not me! I proofed I was the Region One coach that my son and Tyson fought on. You said you trained a fighter who was a state champ but don't even know what Region your in. You don't know what organization sanctioned
the bout and you have no credentials to show. Once again your a LIAR!
