From what years would you suggest Listons Prime was? As well as his best fight in his prime?

I'd say his best years were 1959-1961. A case can be made for 62. His best fights were probably the Cleveland Williams bouts as he showed his underrated boxing skills and speed. He also showed his ability to adapt. Tyson's best years were from 1988 until the time he went to prison.

I would have to go with Liston. Stylistically it's bad for Tyson. Liston did well with come forward fighters that he could pretty much beat on. Look at the Patterson-Liston fight as an example despite Patterson's movement Liston still catches him. He wasn't only a head hunter, he did well to the body as we saw in the Williams fight. Tyson was a stronger and faster version of Patterson so I favor Liston here by knockout in the 3rd.

Lol, Tyson was not only the only one ever to KO Pinklon, but the only one to ever KD him. Liston was KO'd 3 times and KD'd multiple times in his career, even feather fisted Ali knocked Liston twice.

Prime Liston has absolutely no chance against prime Tyson. Tyson hit harder, with both hands, was faster, had better defense and so on.

.........."when he parted ways with them". ????????

He didn't part ways with them Cus Died!!!

            Tyson 5' 10" 210-220
            Liston 6' 205-215

Not any difference to speak of other than reach which Sonny has an advantage.
Tyson's power is predicated on speed where as Listons power is formed from the ground up. Meaning he has good technique and had ALL the punches to be successful and well rounded.
I like Mike in this match up but Liston would be extremely dangerous for him to trade with early. Mike had problems with Evander and a ready Buster because they had solid jabs and worked hard on not being backed up. Sonny has an excellent long and hard jab and was a two handed fighter with power. This is not an easy fight for either man.
I like the prime younger version of Tyson against Liston the older one after the prison term would get in trouble against a prime Liston.
Liston was NOT a one/two puncher ala Wlad, he punched in combination and had a terrific left hook. He worked the body well and broke his opponents down. He was not without faults but probably took as good a shot as Mike did! They could hurt each other easily.
            Tyson by decs.

I don't understand your point. Liston stopped multiple men who were never stopped before.
Liston was KO'd 3 times and KD'd multiple times in his career, even feather fisted Ali knocked Liston twice.
Liston was knocked down a grand total of twice. And one of them was a dive. Tyson was knocked out 5 times and floored even more.
Prime Liston has absolutely no chance against prime Tyson. Tyson hit harder, with both hands, was faster, had better defense and so on.
Liston hit much harder with both hands. Johnny Tocco has confirmed this. I wouldn't say Tyson had the better defense seeing as he usually abandoned it after one round. Keep sucking your convicted rapist's ****.

Tyson by decision is the least likely outcome imo. His stamina was terrible. Liston had great stamina. He proved he could go 12 rounds without tiring.

                  Tyson fought nothing but bums.
Show me a credible name that Tyson knocked out in the 80's?
There aren't any, they were ALL bums.
Liston would have knocked him into the middle of next week.

Tyson at age 21 -22 had excellent stamina and was still under the original team minus Cus and Teddy.
When punchers fight one another many times their respect for one anpother cancels power out. Neither man was a do or die fighter so it's possible that they go the distance. Liston isn't a trial horse that Tyson fought building his career up and Tyson wasn't a "part time" fighter that Liston fought early.
This is a very good match up with a swarmer pressure guy against a stand up boxer with power.
Liston was basically a 10 round fighter with not many scheduled 15 rd. title fights. The few he had were early KO or tko's! (one 12 rd fight)
He had 54 bouts and went the distance 5 times, not exactly a blue print for stamina success.

It would be a very good match up!
