Other than myself, Ring Magazine, KO Magazine, Boxing News, Boxing Illustrated and a huge number of daily newspapers who all seen the fight exactly as i seen the fight. Not a single member who cast their vote, seen it like myself and the ringside reporters.

All the above ringside reports are identical in their summing up of the fight. Yet here you are trying to imply i am wrong well the laugh ain't on me mate. The laugh is on all those who voted, with the exception of myself.

All those who publicly voted are now a "Laughing Stock".. i deliberately made it a "Public Vote" so as to weed them out, seperate the Boxing Buffs from the Puffs.. :blow:

Go back and scrutinize my scorecard, you will see it is **** on the money..

yes the sports writers were not in agreement at all. Duran must have read the Hagler is still champ, but invincible no more , headline and his next revival was 6 years later against iran

You'll going to have to scan Ring Magazine, Boxing Illustrated etc and put them up because the newspaper links you put up are worthless

We have the Gadsen Times which just repeats the judges scoring without offering an opinion

              The Bryan Times
Says Hagler took control in the 6th round onwards

              Boca Raton News

Pretty much offers the judges scorecards and some quotes from the fighters

The Ottawa Citizen takes us to round 8 and no further

****or Daily News doesn't add anything

Boxing News just repeats the judges scorecards and offers no opinion the person could've written that article without having seen the fight.

So most of them take the judges scoring as gospel and say whoever the judges say won the round won the round. It's not like The ****or Daily News is going to have someone ringside is it? It doesn't look like many of them actually watched the fight on TV either.

Or was the idea that I didn't check those links and took them as read.

I'm assuming that a biography called Hands of Stone is going to be fairly even handed to Roberto Duran.
Let's not take anything away from Duran here he fought as well as a pumped up great lightweight could against a great middleweight and P4P he is the greater fighter but he didn't get edged out on a razor thin verdict.

I do not think so actually the author mentioned duran leonard 1 was hotly disputed while a great close fight it was not hotly disputed as far as how the media portrayed hagler duran the result is somewhere between the two headlines.

Slanderous stuff like this should not be permissable. Ray is an established guy, he posted proof that he not only ran a gym, but coached at least one pro fighter. Saying this to someone like him is not the same as flaming some anonymous poster. To suggest he ******ed kids that he was trying to help is f'ed up.
