Yes you are correct, Michael Spinks was an incredible fighter. Yet only gets remembered for his sole career defeat.

Yes it's as if his career started at heavyweight for many the Holmes fights were somewhat controversial.

Lefty are you confusing senior with Roger? One could certainly argue that Roger had some great fights. The last fight for senior was a contraversal win over charlie z

Floyd Sr. never beat a single opponent of worth throughout his whole career.. Marvis Frazier on the other hand, holds a fist full of excellent victories on his resume. Wins over Bonecrusher Smith, Quick Tillis, Joe Bugner, Funso Banjo and James Broad read well. Marvis also beat many top name fighters in his amateur career. Mitch Green, Tony Tubbs, Tim Witherspoon and Jimmy Clark. Frazier lost a world title challenge to Larry Holmes in only his 11th pro bout..
You are a perennial contender for halfwit of the year. Learn what a question mark means, idiot.

Chill the **** out Sonny. He was asking a question, not stating an answer like some egotistical prick around here.

Honest question: Why do you even come here? You don't try to converse with anyone on any reasonable level and you just act like an immature child that hasn't gotten their way in nearly every post you make. Why do you post here?

What type of utter spastic are you?! It's a basic, simple question. The question mark is right there in what you quoted first. Are you so inbred you can't even read the most simple sentence?

Or is it that you just realised what a **** you were being when you saw it was a genuine question, but you don't even have the balls to admit to it now so you've got to wrote some fake bull**** about trying to squirm out of it when you know full well that he didn't say that.

Roy Jones sr. fought Hagler. That ain't bad. Tito sr. fought Sanchez. A forum full of buffs must know more. Laila Ali is not a son, so does not count here.

Is it more often that the father is famous and the mediocre son tries to follow in his footsteps, or do sons of former boxers and champs more often become more famous and great than their mediocre fathers?

Is there a case where both achieved highly in the sport?
Well you just mentioned a couple names superseded by their sons.

Angel Garcia was also a fighter but we all know his son has been better.

Then, father's far superior to their sons, are the likes of Chavez and Camacho and then Montiel Sr had 3 sons, all of whom won some sort of title but we all know who the best was. Then, the famous Ricardo Lopez actually has a son who I think is currently boxing.
