in part yes. But Fury has Wlad worked out, he knows that for Wlad to be effective he has to stand still.. Wlad cannot punch while his opponent is moving. So Fury just keeps moving side-to-side jabbing, grabbing, tie-up, hooking and Wladimir is stumped. At 40yrs of age Wlad is not going to remedy his fault. Fury will measure and line Wlad up in the rematch and knock out Wladimir. Easy fight for Fury.
1. It will give him a further boost to his legacy of course
2. His standing in history will be no different than right now, suffice to say it will then be clear that the Fury win was no fluke and that at this point in their respective careers Fury>Wlad.
3. He will be considered rightfully in the same vein as was Lennox Lewis, shamefully ducking out of the promised rematch and viewed as he knew he could no longer win.
4. Doubtful- but for entertainment purposes, sure, he'd be looked at rather dismally.
frankly father time catches up to everyone and lennox and Wlad have fine careers to look back on and are respected by many

Elroid is just trolling up, trying to get Sonny started in on the Lennox Lewis comment regarding Vitalie. Watch how quickly Sonny stops the "Lol...." posts and starts in on Lewis when someone responds to Elroid's ****** post....Guaranteed.

Except Wlad didn't win the Fury fight in only 6 rounds did he? Quite literally the opposite circumstance you muppet. Wlad lost, hence the rematch. Lewis won, by TKO. If Wlad had won the fight in 6 rounds by smashing Fury's face in, even if the previous rounds had been close, would anyone, anywhere be calling for a rematch? I don't think so.
Would you be saying Wlad lost the fight because the rounds were close? No, you'd be saying the logical, rational, factual point which is that he won the bloody fight by breaking Fury's face into pieces.
Lewis won. He stopped Vitali in 6 rounds so he didn't need, or feel, like the rematch was warranted. If he'd lost the fight, no doubt he would have come back. Just saying you'll take a rematch on TV after a fight means nothing. Every fighter does it. But, there's a lot more to making a fight than just saying that on TV. When you've already won the fight, you're at the end of your career, you've got nothing left to prove, no one left to beat and are a multimillionaire, I'm sure the thought of another training camp for a guy you just stopped in 6 rounds and nearly destroyed his face, is less than enticing.

i watched the the older klitchco vs lewis at my friends house although not a classic both of us were entertained and my friend is not a fight fan. If I recall
Vlad worked the corner that night. I was thinking that lennox could have been more gracious in the post fight interview but the interviewer actually belittled lennox .
