You forgot to add in that Evander went 10 with Alex then made Tyson quit!

Making an analisis from common opponents most time means nothing.
Ali looses to Frazier, Frazier looses to Foreman Ali beats Foreman.

Boxing doesn't work that way. Styles make fights for the zillionth time!
The fight wasn't made because of promotion issues and money quarentees, nothing to do with the actual matchup in the ring.

Of course it means something, it shows the level of the fighters in relative perspective at the time. If it would mean nothing, Marciano would be unanimous best ever, because he never lost, if it meant nothing who he fought.

This place has evolved. For years people blindly believed that one guys story about Tyson ****ting his pants at the mere mention of Foreman. We now know that the truth is different and complicated.

I don't see it as a big miss because im confident that Tyson w'd come over George. George had ridiculous power but c'd he take Tyson's hook or land on him anything significant especially at that age?

I think tyson has a better chance vs 70s foreman, than he does vs old man foreman from the 90s...

90s foreman had tremendous ring IQ, patiences, still had huge power and a granite chin..
I think if old man foreman could get into the middle to late rounds with tyson, he has a good chance of beating mike... Post prison, mike wasn't the 12rd fighter he was in the 80s, and he became much more stationary after a few rounds, and that would benefit foreman.

I see your point to some degree but I do agree with Ray mostly because styles and focus come to play when matches go thru .
Mike Tyson was an amazing fighter with many assets but I feel his greatest was his ability to intimidate. Fighters such as holyfield found a way to go into the tyson matches not intimidated and were successful. If mike blew out alex steward and others how do we not know if they were simply mentally out of the fight before punches were even thrown.

Foreman himself had many opponents beaten before the bell rang, I don't see anybody discrediting him based on that.
