Joshua may be something special..he seems like Lewis/Tyson rolled into one.If Wlad wins a rematch he should leave however hes lost his decade loss,i thought it may be Joshua.....story book ending come back defeat Fury call it a day.
Yeah, but he'd get big money for a Wilder fight, especially for a title unification. I say he takes that fight and then retires either way.

Hope he keeps that higher pace in future fights. I heard this postpones and hurts chances of unification fight. Tony Page said recently that if Wlad and Fury rematch, 1 or 2 of the corrupt governing bodies might strip Fury of his belt or belts. At the least, he'll still have a legit Ring belt and possibly WBO or WBA belt to defend. Hope that's not the case though.
Its in Wlads contract to have mandatory rematch , i would say his corner is half way to blame all in all i didnt think both guys did anything Wlad averaged 4 jabs per minute and one powershot per round ,no one can win on these numbers !

We're talking a guy who did questionably nothing prior to winning (like Fury and Douglas) defeated a guy who was considered basically invincible (like Wladimir and Mike).
Not an amateur sport. If you get paid, you're a professional. And it's been around for centuries, since the days of Pankration in ancient Greece. And boxing was a professional sport way before the '80s as well.

Fury won them fair and square and so what if Wladimir wants to rematch, what right does that give a governing body to strip the titles from either of those two!

          Unbelievable!

Boxing should go ****ing Tourney style! That's the truth.
recently we have a few "Size and Weight clowns" on the forum, who are arguing. Size and Weight beats skills, fitness & Ability.

To set the ball rolling, let's start with "Punching-Power".

The hardest two Heavyweight Punchers in history are Foreman & Shavers.

          Foreman 6'3'' and 220lbs
          Shavers 6'0'' and 210lbs

We have had many pro boxers over the last 100yrs, who stood over 7''0' tall. Just as many who weighed over 250-300lbs. None have ever been mentioned as ATG Punchers. Non have ever been mentioned as ATG boxers.

Elroy1 Jugger and crew are: "My Dad is Bigger than your Dad" mentality... Does the guy with the bigger penis ride better than the guy with the smaller penis?

You know, you almost sound normal and intelligent when talking current and recent boxing. You might want to just stick with that

Partially because they were only successful because they were ALLIED to his size.

No, of course not, how would Quarry be equalivalent to a Klitschko if he were larger? They fight nothing alike!

I clearly stated that Quarry would be equal to an Ali were he larger (because they fought similarly and had similar relative attributes other than size) and further that Ali and Quarry would be equal to Tyson Fury if they were much MUCH larger for the same reasons.

Ironically "size" played an important role in the latest HW title fight the other night. IT was Tyson's skills, speed, movement etc responsible ALLIED to his reach/height/weight advantage, take the latter away, and it wouldn't be enough.

I don't suppose size is the end of the argument, otherwise there'd be no point to boxing at all. Only that it is extremely important all else equal and that the CHANCES of winning become less and less the larger the opponent is (statisticlly proven), this is why there are weight ranges which also indirectly limit height also.

In fact it's generally nostalgists who NEGLECT the importance of size in boxing altogether.

I merely propose it be allocated it's true place.

And of course the reason it isn't is because if a certain group of boxers admitted how important such things were in boxing, they would suddenly have hardly anything to say about the chances of their old favourites in modern contests.

              Worth a thought.
There are actually Gifs on line that show Ali's remarkable refelexes. There is a gif of Foreman punching at Ali while being evaded that is remarkable, there is another one with Cleveland Williams where ali demonstrates incredible reflex actions. Its documented. Then there is anecdotal evidence...men who sparred with Ali that talk about his super human reflex actions.

if you actually looked at the research, you could make some factual statements and you would find that Ali was talked about by many in the community, including the martial arts community BTW, people like Henry Chung in New York City and George Dillman, to name a few.

Wlad always has a rematch clause! It will be interesting to see if he takes advantage of it, looks like he will right now.

We can see if he can change his style and go after Fury, I doubt it, mostly because fury learned the somewhat atavistic technique of fighting off the back leg...a technique which has somewhat skipped a few generations of heavyweights. Vlad does cover ground with his jab when it is firing, but he would have to hit a moving target, get past a counter with Fury's low held hand, and move foward without clinching after throwing, doubling, or even tripling up the jab.

Fury will most likely knock out Wladimir, in a rematch at Wembley Stadium.

                    • ......"In fact in absolute terms (relative to the modern HW division), Ali has no reflexes, no chin, no skills and only running style footwork".

running style footwork? What the hell is that? hahahaha........

Time to put a freeze on these azzholes again and if the mods refuse to make them go away its time to ignore them.

My challenge to elroy remains, he doesn't have the gutts to back up his statements because as I've said after reading his first post..he knows NOTHING
about the sport, the business the skills involved and the heart it takes to even try it. If he did he would never call men like Ali & Frazier bums. Fact! goober

take care now, see ya later Ray
